Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music Announces the Winners of the Inaugural Gospel Music Sing-Off

Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music first annual Gospel Sing-Off competition, Move on Up, was held on June 8th at Monmouth University Anacon Hall. 5 choirs/praise teams from the greater Asbury Park and Newark, New Jersey communities participated in the finals. The winning choir, Dale Ciceron & Psalms of Praise, from Newark was awarded $10,000 and the runner-up, Encounter Christ GF Praise Team from Neptune, NJ was awarded $5,000. Judges included Layonne Holmes, JT Bowen and Tommy McDonnell with a special performance by Alexander Simone and Quintessence who are currently working on a gospel album.
