What A Night!

April 29, 2025

The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music presented the third annual American Music Honors awards ceremony on Saturday, April 26th. The unforgettable evening brought a sold-out audience to Monmouth University’s exquisite Great Hall and intimate Pollak Theatre.

2025 honorees, Smokey Robinson, John Fogerty, Tom Morello and Emmylou Harris, backed by Marc Ribler and the Disciples of Soul, contributed historic performances that left the audience dancing the night away. Hosted for the second consecutive year by Brian Williams, the evening was filled with eloquent and thoughtful remarks by both honorees and their presenters: Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren and Patti Scialfa. 2023 honorees Jackson Browne and Darlene Love also made surprise appearances on stage during the night to join in on the music.

The evening concluded with the audience on their feet as honorees and presenters shared the stage and jammed to hits such as “Going to a Go-Go,” “Fortunate Son,” “Red Dirt Girl,” “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out,” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad.” The night ended with “This Land is Your Land.”
