Announcing the Winners of the first annual Move On Up Gospel Sing-Off
BSACAM’s first annual Gospel Sing-Off competition, Move on Up, was held on June 8th at Monmouth University Anacon Hall. 5 choirs/praise teams from the greater Asbury Park and Newark, New Jersey communities participated in the finals. The winning choir was Dale Cicero & Psalms of Praise from Newark and the runner-up was Encounter Christ GF from Neptune, NJ. Judges included Layonne Holmes, JT Bowen and Tommy McDonnell with a special performance by Alexander Simone and Quintessence who are currently working on a gospel album. Congratulations to the winners! We cannot wait for next year!

We are excited to Announce our Move On Up Gospel Event Finalists!
Join us for a day of celebration and praise as the Move on Up Gospel choirs and praise team finalists perform at Anacon Hall (located on the second floor of the Rebecca Stafford Student Center) at Monmouth University. Bring your families, friends and neighbors as we share the rich legacy and spiritual music that has been a cornerstone of the black community and churches. Show your support for your community as a panel of judges determines which choir/praise team will be awarded $5,000 and $10,000. This event is open to the public and free of charge from 2 – 5pm. Doors open at 1:15pm.
