Looking Ahead As We Reflect On 2023
This has been a historic year for the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University.
This year, we saw tremendous growth, expanded our reach through traveling exhibits and continued our history of providing excellent programming.
We hosted two successful, sold-out symposiums celebrating golden anniversaries for Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ and The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle albums, curated several exhibits around the country, formed an educational collaboration with Teach Rock, welcomed new, full-time staff, hosted our inaugural American Music Honors and publicly revealed our major capital fundraising initiative-the construction of a $45 million, 30,000 square foot BSACAM building scheduled to open in 2026.
As we work to close the fundraising gap on the new capital project, the need to raise critical funds to preserve the ever-growing Archives, curate and offer traveling exhibits and sustain and enhance programming remains vital to the Center’s success. As a self-funded, 501c3 non-profit organization, we rely on operating support from generous donors and friends like you to bring meaningful content and artifacts to life.
As we embark on 2024, we have many exciting programs, events, milestones to celebrate and opportunities for you to join us as we tell the story of American Music and one of our country’s greatest storytellers.
Whether you’ve attended an academic seminar, visited an exhibit, participated in one of our events and left feeling inspired by the diverse musical tapestry showcased, or if you are interested in the preservation and accessibility of these historic items, we hope you will consider supporting our work.
Wishing you a Happy Holiday and New Year.
